Theresa Campbell, founder of Theresa Campbell Counselling and Consulting Services, has resided in the North Peace Region for over 20 years. Theresa is a registered Social Worker (registration # 10865) with the BC College of Social Workers and is a member of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work. Currently, Theresa is busy with her counselling practice, working with couples and individuals, and holds contracts with Corrections Canada, Stroh Health Care, and a variety of adoption agencies. In addition to private practice, Theresa is involved in academics, instructing the Social Service Worker Diploma program at the local college and engaging in community engagement/development through workshops and research.
Theresa’s academic qualifications include completing her BSW and MSW from the University of Northern British Columbia and is currently completing a PhD in Education and Social Justice from Lancaster University. Theresa prides herself in continuing professional training and has completed level 1-3 of Gottman's Method Couples training, Bringing Baby Home leader training and Gottman Seven Principles Leader. training. Theresa’s past experience includes working within the non-profit sector, gaining experience in a variety of different programs outreach, program coordination and clinical counselling.
Theresa practices from an anti-oppressive, integrative approach that includes working from a client-centered and strengths-based framework creating a safe encouraging environment to facilitate change. Theresa’s counselling sessions are aimed to give you an opportunity to explore difficulties in life, to be the expert in your life, and to implement the goals that you have set for yourself.
